The lensday challenge for this week is Shadow. And this keeps me away from posting train or train station pictures ;-) but as I have mentioned before there are still some of them left on my hard disk!
Today is an exciting day for me because the work committee of my maybe new employer has a meeting where they will hopefully make the final approval for my position. I was told that it is only a formal thing they always have to do... but still I can't stop being excited. So I am sitting next to the phone and waiting for a good message -> so please, keep your fingers crossed for me.
The picture was taken at the harbour in Hamburg and when I looked at the shot for the first time I decided that I don't really like it. But for some unclear reasons I opened it with the Canon software and changed it to b&w and then to sepia. It looks a bit warmer through this and it gives me the feeling that Spring is coming soon (probably I would think different when I would be outside right now, because it is bloody cold out there).
The lensday challenge für diese Woche ist Shadow, was mich glücklicherweise davon abhält weitere Zug oder Bahnhofsbilder hochzuladen. Aber wie ich bereits angekündigt habe, sind noch ein paar auf meiner Festplatte und früher oder später werde ich sie noch zur Schau stellen.
Heute ist ein recht aufregender Tag für mich, da der Betriebsrat meines wahrscheinlich neuen Arbeitgebers heute darüber abstimmt, ob ich den Job bekomme. Mir wurde zwar gesagt, dass es sich nur noch um eine formale Angelegenheit handelt, aber dennoch kann ich nicht aufhören aufgeregt zu sein -> also brav die Daumen für mich drücken...
Als ich einen ersten flüchtigen Blick auf das heutige Bild geworfen habe, mochte ich es nicht so wirklich. Dennoch habe ich es aus mir unerklärlichen Gründen mit der Canon Software geöffnet, in s&w umgewandelt und den Sepia Filter drüber gelegt, so dass es mir nun doch etwas mehr gefällt. Wahrscheinlich weil es jetzt etwas wärmer aussieht und ich die Hoffnung auf den Frühling bekomme. Dummerweise habe ich das Gefühl, dass es bis dahin noch eine ganze Weile dauert, da es mächtig kalt draußen ist.

Wonderful photo! The lighting is great and I very much like all the lines throughout the photo frame. Gives it a nice compositional perspective!!

the low contrast sepia look works well with this scene, gives it an old classic look.
