As I mentioned yesterday I went out with the aim to take some new shots and also to see a bit more of Bonn. After climbing (maybe walking is more appropriate) a hill I arrived at a nice lookout. But the view wasn't that nice because it was really misty (so the gray sky you can see is not only because I converted the picture to b&w). Instead of looking down I had the chance to see what people do when they arrive at a lookout: some are taking pictures (the girl with her mobile and me of course), some are having something to eat and the rest in lying around... Even without being able to look that far it was very nice to be there and I already have some pictures in my mind I really want to take which means I will walk this long way again (mmmhhhh... or maybe not: I have seen a car park nearly at the top. So it is possible to go there by car ;- )
Wie ich schon gestern erwähnte, habe ich mich noch aufgemacht, um ein paar neue Bilder zu machen und um etwas mehr von Bonn zu sehen. Nach einem längeren Weg auf einen Berg (mit einer Burg oben drauf), kam ich dann auch an einem Aussichtspunkt an. Leider war das Wetter so diesig, dass man nicht wirklich weit sehen konnte. Und so konnte ich mir anstelle eines schönes Blickes nach unten anschauen, was die Leute so machen, wenn sie oben ankommen: während die einen Bilder machen (so wie das Mädel mit ihrem Mobiltelefon und natürlich auch ich), haben andere Picknick gemacht oder sich nach dem anstrengenden Gang ausgeruht. Auch ohne weit sehen zu können, hat es sich sehr gelohnt und ich werde wieder da hoch laufen, weil ich noch einige Bilder im Kopf habe, die ich gerne noch machen möchte.

sehr coole perspektive. und das S/W macht das ganze erst richtig interessant. ich denke neben ein wenig sportlicher betätigung ists ein netter ausgleich solch bilder zu machen.
It is a marvel that you just took this photograph. It has such a classic and timeless air about it, that it could have been taken years ago. I immediately thought the woman with the phone was a painter, scaling off her thumb.
The crooked tree branch is just the cherry on top.
Im thinking her shot from the mobile wont be anywhere near this. The two main subjects in the middle are stood at the same angle but facing different ways, as ken says...feels timeless.
Your work with black & white is wonderful and the composition works great. I love how the girl taking a shot with her mobile and the guy next to her are looking in opposite directions. Well done!
I understand why Andreas chose this photos among his favorites of the week. It is great! The silhouettes are well defined again this white (grey, ok) but are not too dark. And the couple o the top is just fantastic. They seem so sure of themselves in their statueske pose that they can even afford to look the opposite way and still look like a couple. Cool.
Obwohl ich 11 Jahre in Bonn gelebt habe, bin ich nach langer Betrachtung des Fotos nicht darauf gekommen, wo es aufgenommen wurde --- please help me out ---
Ohne die starken Kontraste wäre es wahrscheinlich nicht so eindrucksvoll, und das ist es allemal, obwohl ich mir ein wenig mehr Schärfe wünsche.
