One year ago my photoblog went online which means that it is my blogs first birthday. I would like to take this as a chance to say thanks to a whole bunch of people: first of all thanks for every single visit and also for every comment and email I received over this period of time. Your footprints in my tiny own world (called lost in shots) helped me to learn a lot about photography, post-processing and all kind of other things. Another huge thanks goes to Jan, who was the first person, told me about the existence of photoblogs and additionally he is a real CSS-hero!
As for this shot: I took it on one of my first days here in Seattle (the same day I took this one). But I decided to keep it on the hard drive as a birthday shot. I have no idea who this person is; I only know that I was lucky that he opened the window and watched the sunset.

Happy Birthday Lost In Shots!!
Lovely image too, the colours are gorgeous. It makes me want to be the chap looking out at the sunset!
Happy Birthday! I have only recently discovered your photoblog, but I have enjoyed checking in on your wonderful images every day. I would say that the quality of your images is excellent, and I myself am enjoying the feedback and support of fellow photobloggers out there which is really helping me improve too!
Onto this image - great composition and silhouette. that sunset is awesome and you have captured a great moment here. hope everything is going well in seattle :)
Unglaubliche Szene, Wahnsinnsfarbe.
Einen lieben Gruß über die Kontinente...
Oh wow, this sunset would have been great taken out in the open but the from inside you really have raised it another level. Not seen anything like before! Really nice.
The yellow is great, good capture. I wish we could continue to have that graduation from dark yellow on the left to a perfect one, more on the right...
I'm wondering what impression it would have given if there was less dark at the bottom ?
I should try it on my 16/9 TV, it will become like a picture taken from a movie ;-)

Congratulations Marina, it was a pleasure to visit your blog day after day during this year. I like this photo, it is appropriate for the occasion. I like the touch of the bulbs inside, repeating the colors of the sunset indoor. It is nice that such sunset welcomed you upon your arrival in Seattle. I remember when I moved to Trieste for my grad school, and I was all alone in a new city, the first day ended with a similar sunset which made me feel very welcomed.
Congrats and Happy birthday to Lostinshots!
You have some real stunners in your archives, Marina - this shot is no exception. wonderful sunset, and the composition is brilliant.
Was nice to meet you at the Euro Meetup a couple of weeks ago. (sorry for the late response, but Ive been away)
Its funny, this looks like the pike place market, and it also looks very similar to the window i took this picture out of

It must be a good place to stand for a photo :)
This photo is really cool, the colors are outstanding, especially the oranges on the water, which matches the lights. Great shot, and hope you like seattle!
i think i know exactly where this is - in the market right? we use to grab lunch at the three girls bakery and take it here in order to enjoy the view. wow, this brings back memories for me!

Hallo Marina,
