Yesterday it was pissing down. However I wanted to see something and so I packed my camera and an umbrella (for the camera) and went to a marina to take a few shots. Pprobably you can imagine that most of the shots I took include rain... And they give me the feeling that the winter is not far away. While driving back home I had the feeling that I am definitively getting old: I was listening to the radio when I heard the beginning of "Ice Ice Baby". First I did not believe that they were going to play the whole song, but they did it. I could not resist and turned the radio as loud as possible while laughing about myself that there was a time (I guess 15 years ago) when I loved this song and that I still know the lyrics. Enjoy the rest of the weekend!
Gestern hat es mal wieder in Strömen gegossen. Da ich aber was von der Gegend sehen wollte, habe ich mich entschieden, mich raus zu wagen. Und so packte ich meine Kamera und einen Regenschirm (für die Kamera) ein und machte mich auf den Weg zu einem Yachthafen. Rate, was die meisten Bilder beinhaltet!? -Genau: Regen. Und sie erwecken auch noch den Eindruck, dass der Winter nicht mehr weit entfernt ist... Auf dem Heimweg bekam ich kurzzeitig das Gefühl, dass ich so langsam alt werde. Im Radio erklangen die ersten Töne von "Ice Ice Baby" und ich wollte nicht so wirklich glauben, dass sie das ganze Lied spielen. Aber sie taten es und so drehe ich die Musik so laut wie möglich und lachte kräftig über mich selbst. Warum? Weil es mal eine Zeit gab, in der ich das Lied einfach mega klasse fand (so ca. vor 15 Jahren) und darüber, dass ich auch jetzt noch den gesamte Text mitgrölen kann. Ich wünsche noch ein schönes Wochenende!
Beautiful photograph, I especially love the direction the flower is facing. That with the vibrant colors really shows a fabulous personality for the flower.

ice ice baby - too cold! takes me back! wonderful shot here - the colour, the clarity and the dof are just excellent! good stuff as usual :)
