My original plan was to go to Victoria today. Yesterday I spent the whole morning in the rain and when I came home I was totally frozen and wet. I did not want to reapeat this today and so I had a look at the weather forecast which was really terrible for Victoria. In the end I decided not to go. When I got up it was sunny in Seattle (and probably also in Victoria - but I don't really want to know this). After a long and nice breakfast I went to Tacoma. There is a museum of glass. Inside the museum it is not allowed to take pictures (terrible people). But the museum has a room where they make amazing things out of glass and in there it is allowed to take out the camera. I have to say that this room is the only reason for visiting the museum (the rest is pretty boring).

Tacoma!!! That's practically my hometown! I was born, raised, and am currently living just across the Narrows bridge in Gig Harbor.
Isn't downtown Tacoma great? It's one of my favorite places around here. Old Tacoma, just up the coast from downtown, is great too. Oooooooh, and Point Defiance just up a little further.
When I first started viewing your blog, I never would have guessed you would come from Germany to places so close to me. Weird...

Ooo, great pic - I love the energy , the blur and the sharpness - the contrast of colours and the general vivacity of it. It's abstract but not too abstract (if you know what I mean). It looks like a special effect from a film - a good capture, well done!
Wow, it took me some time to understand what was in the picture. Quite interesting, I have seen this once in Venice, may years ago, but this is definitely more impressive than my memories.
One of my favorite shots of yours. The blue on one side, the red and orange/yellowish on the other side makes me think of the good and the bad. And the flames contribute to make this feeling even stronger. Bravo!

Fire's cool! I like how you captured the patterns on the glass in sharp detail.

Nice picture.. What else do they make with glass there...?

Wow! What an absolutely great shot. Love the rich colors, the lines in the glass orb, and the sharpness of the whole shot. Nice capture, Marina!

I like the intensity of the image, the picture has much strength, and the fire and colour are very well captured.

Like Beavis (from Beavis and Butthead) says: "FIRE FIRE!!!" (Did I just show my age?) hehe. Nice one M!
