A picture of the last wedding I was shooting. You can see Febrin (the bride) and in the background her husband Andreas. I like this picture for two reasons (even with the Sari which appears a bit too white): the colours are quite nice and have an interesting glossy touch and additionally I love the idea behind the picture. I have seen too many "I" becoming a "we" while losing the "I" (hope you understand what I mean!?). There are so many wedding pictures out there where you can see either the couple together or one of them alone. Here you can see both but Andreas took a back seat. I guess this is another challenge in a relationship next to the preservation of the I in the we. Hmm, I guess I said enough educational words for the weekend!
Ein Bild der letzten Hochzeit, die ich photographisch festgehalten habe. Zu sehen ist Febrin im Vordergrund und im Hintergrund ihr Mann Andreas. Das Bild mag ich sehr gerne (auch wenn der Sari etwas zu hell ist), da ich zum einen die Farben hammerschön finde und zum anderen mag ich die Idee dahinter. Viel zu oft habe ich gesehen, dass zwei "ich" zu schnell zu einem "wir" werden und die "ich" dabei verloren gehen (wenn Du verstehst, was ich meine). Bei vielen Hochzeitsphotos sehe ich immer wieder, dass das paar in diversen Posen zusammen auf dem Bild zu sehen ist oder dass man nur eine Person sieht. Hier sind beide drauf, wobei man den Andreas nur grob sehen kann; sich mal zurückzunehmen und in den Hintergrund zu treten ist, denke ich, ebenso eine Herausforderung wie das Ich im Wir zu erhalten. Genug pädagogischer Worte zum Wochenende!

It's a great portrait and a great idea, it certainly works. They don't look disconnected, they look like a happy couple, as you say, they don't have to be connected to... be connected.
On my monitor the sari looks fine, you can see that it's slightly off-white and not over exposed.

Finde das Bild und die Aussage auch sehr gelungen. Wirklich einmal anders, als die typischen Hochzeitsbilder. Die beiden strahlen Glück und stolz aus. Die Farben sind sehr schön und nichts ist zu hell.

Agreed - this is a fine bit of portraiture. The sari looks fine here as well - the bride is absolutely radiant!

Die Frau sollte doch immer im Vordergrund stehen und trotzdem sage ich nach 31 glücklichen Ehejahren; gleiche Augenhöhe zahlt sich immer aus.

Weißt Du: einerseits gefällt mir das Foto, aber dann denke ich daß es schade ist wenn der Bräutigam unscharf drauf ist.
