Some weeks ago someone told me that my sunset pics are kind of tacky and that he would prefer these shots in black and white. I am not sure if I have ever seen a black and white picture of a sunset. Probably I have but it never came to my mind to have a look how it might look. So here is a try. What do you think?

Vor ein paar Wochen hat mir jemand gesagt, dass meine Sonnenuntergangsbilder etwas kitschig sind und das diese besser in schwarz/weiß wirken würden. Habe bis dahin keinen Sonnenuntergang in s/w gesehen. Na ja, wahrscheinlich doch; aber es war mir dabei nicht wirklich bewusst. Nun: hier ist mal ein Versuch von mir - was denkst Du?

Es geht und sieht schön aus. Und hier gehts eh eher um deine schöne Komposition ;-)
das sieht doch gut aus. Auch in sw. Habe ich mir eben beim Essen nicht vorstellen können. Wirklich schön!

B/W sunsets work when you have interesting clouds, which is the case for your photo. The only thing I would have changed is the amount of light in the foreground, to preserve more details in the rocks (a graduated filter - or equivalent photoshop gradient trick would have probably done the trick).
Ich finde Sonnenuntergänge in s/w sehr interessant. Hier hätte noch die ein oder andere Stelle heller und mehr Zeichnung haben können, aber trotzdem sehr ansprechend.
Ich denke, das ist gut. Die Reduzierung auf`s SW zusammen mit dem toten Ast bringen etwas Düsters und Bedrohliches, das ein Farbbild vielleicht nicht gehabt hätte.
Ich denke aber auch, Deine anderen Sonnenuntergangsbilder sind deswegen nicht schlechter. Ich mag die im Gegenteil immer sehr sehr gerne.
Und Kitsch ist für mich auch kein Schimpfwort. :-))
