It is a long time ago since I posted a night shot. This one was taken in Havana at ISO1600 and additionally I had to put the camera on the floor to be able to take the picture without a flash. I was just guesing where the focus point was and therefore I was very surprised about the result. When I first looked at it I wasn’t really sure about the large space in the front and thought about cropping it. But when I looked at it again I decided to leave it as it is.

Es ist nun schein eine sehr lange Zeit her, dass ich eine Nachtaufnahmen in meinen Blog gesetzt habe und so wird es mehr als nötig. Das Bild habe ich in Havanna bei ISO 1600 aufgenommen. Zusätzlich musste ich die Kamera auf den Boden legen, um das Bild ohne Blitz machen zu können. Was den Fokuspunkt anging, so konnte ich nur raten und war dementsprechend recht überrascht als ich das Ergebnis sah. Als ich mir das Bild das erste Mal angesehen hatte, war ich mir sicher, dass ich es zurechtschneiden und so die vordere Fläche verkleinern würde. Beim zweiten Anschauen hingegen beschloss ich, die Fläche so zu lassen wie sie ist.
Noch ein schönes Restwochenende und viele Grüße.

looks like a lovely place for the night shote. i think this image would be better served if it were posted upside down...as if the kid was holding the ceiling up. possibly even cropping out the semi-invisible legs. nice shot. love the kids expression.

Die Fläche vorne finde ich gut, da die Spiegelungen schön sind. Der Junge sieht irgendwie hefig aus. Die Beine verlieren sich im Nichts, als hätte er gar keine...

Sehr schönes Bild. Gut, dass Du nicht "geschnitten" hast. Die "Leere" im Vordergund gibt dem Bild - finde ich - zusätzlich Spannung. Gefällt mir sehr, sehr gut :-)
The photo is cool as it is, and the empty floor is what makes it so interesting. It's like the viewer's eye slides on the smooth floor until it get to the super-cool kid!
Ein wirklich fantastisches Bild. Gerade die nicht definierbare Schärfe(?) oder Unschärfe(?) der Fläche im Vordergrund fesselt meinen Blick..
